Netwalking Terms and Conditions

Last revised: August 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to all Enabling Place Netwalking events. By submitting an application to attend, you agree to these terms.

About us

Enabling Place Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Contact: admin@enablingplace.co.uk

1. Application and attendance

1.1 Netwalks are application-based. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place. You will receive confirmation by email if your application is successful.

1.2 Places are limited to ensure a good mix of attendees. We may decline applications where the walk is full or where the attendee profile is already well represented.

1.3 If your application is accepted and you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the place to someone else.

2. Event format and accessibility

2.1 Each netwalk consists of a guided outdoor walk on public footpaths and tracks, followed by refreshments and continued networking indoors at the village hall.

2.2 The walk takes place on uneven terrain that may be muddy or slippery depending on weather conditions. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility aids. A reasonable level of fitness and mobility is required to participate.

2.3 If you are unsure whether the terrain is suitable for you, please contact us before applying and we can discuss the route and conditions in more detail.

2.4 Attendees take part at their own risk. You are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear and clothing for the conditions.

2.5 Parking is available free of charge at Madingley Village Hall car park. However, Enabling Place Ltd is not responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked at the venue.

3. Changes and cancellations

3.1 We reserve the right to change the route, venue, or timing of an event. We will notify attendees of any changes by email as early as possible.

3.2 We may cancel an event due to adverse weather or other circumstances beyond our control. In this case, we will offer an alternative date where possible.

3.3 If an event is cancelled by us, no costs are payable by either party as events are free to attend.

4. Conduct

4.1 Netwalks are informal and relaxed. We ask attendees to be respectful of others and to engage in genuine conversation rather than hard selling.

4.2 We reserve the right to decline future applications from anyone whose behaviour is disruptive, discriminatory, or detrimental to the group dynamic.

5. Photography

5.1 Photographs may be taken during netwalks for use on the Enabling Place website, social media channels, and marketing materials.

5.2 If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know before the walk begins or at any point during the event.

5.3 Images may be shared on social media and could be reused or shared by others in the public domain.

6. Data protection

6.1 Your name, email address, and phone number will be collected as part of the application process and used solely for event administration and communication about future netwalks.

6.2 A list of attendee names and business names may be shared with other attendees at the event to facilitate networking. Contact details will not be shared.

6.3 We will not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. You can request removal from our records at any time by emailing admin@enablingplace.co.uk

6.4 Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

7. Liability

7.1 Enabling Place Ltd holds Public Liability insurance. However, we are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage sustained during attendance at a netwalk, except where caused by our negligence.

7.2 Attendents are responsible for assessing their own fitness and suitability for the walking element of the event.

7.3 We are not liable for any loss of personal property during the event.

8. Governing law

8.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
